Interesting Plants From 2003/7/31
This is an interesting plant. I have only seen it in Japan, and know it as Ojigisou, or bowing grass. If you touch it, it folds up before your eyes and recovers again in a minute or two. I looked it up on the Internet, and the latin name seems to be Mimosa Pudica.
Here is another plant dwelling outside on the verandal gardens. I understand that it is a morning glory relative, and is called Firecracker Vine, or Ipomoea Lobata. I am glad to have found it on the Internet, and to have learned that I should not over water it. Hope that it does not get noisy out there.
