These were taken at Minami Osawa, a few train stops away from our Tokyo home.  This is an awful place to visit, as it has a complex with Baskin-Robbins ice cream, Cinnabons and Starbucks, and if you really want to yield to temptation, there is an Outback Steak House in the rear version of this culinary Sodom and Gomorrah. Anyway, back to the subject at hand.  (2008 edit:  Cinnabons closed up shop and is has been replaced by an udonnery.  (T.T)  )

These drummers gave a brief show, and I am sorry that I cannot attach sound to the pictures.  If you observe the movements of their arms, you can tell that they have practiced hard to play in perfect unison.  At the end, they take a bow and receive their well earned applause.

  • Hi!
You know I'm not a very good "commenter"... most of the time I spend it preparing and posting so there's not much time left to comment...
But I had to say this to you:
I think your photo posts are most interesting!
From you I can visit a place where (most probably) I never visit and your posts are done in such a way that we almost have the feeling of being there.
    Congratulations for your "great job"!
    Isabel

  • @WhataWonderfulNewWorld - Thanks!  Sorry I have not been doing the weekly photo thing, but I have been busy with some things over here.  I always enjoy your posts, too!
