• Donna, ATTHEFEETOFGOD, thanks for introducing me to this artist, Aviad Cohen.  I have been to his website www.50shekel.com and I have also been looking at his videos on YouTube.  He is one interesting fellow.  I may see about purchasing his album "Hooked on the Truth" by mp3 download. 

  This is a new artist to me.  He is a Jewish Christian, and really ties both Judaism and Christianity together, as they should be.  He was originally a "heeb-hop" Jewish rapper who went by the handle of 50shekel (as opposed to 50cent).  Have a listen.  I fell in love with his "We Delight in Your Shabbat" the first time I heard it.  If you go to the 50Shekel website you can hear it.

  Later: I was able to download the album and make myself a CD from it.  Never did that before.  Old dog learns new trick.  Gotta go and dance.  In YouTube there is a short video of people dancing to "We Delight," and it is one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen.  We learned the Hora in Elementary school.  Wonder if I could do that without getting my feet tangled...    Yep, back in the good old days we were allowed to song "Hava Nagila" and "MeeyimmahelvurotIsraelotanmeeyimneh..."  I doubt such multiculturalism would be allowed in today's age of multiculturalism.  Too bad I didn't understand or appreciate it all at the time.  I still wonder what Jaffe Epstein, my best friend in the Swan Street 'hood is doing.  Her father was a Rabbi.  There was much that I could have learned from him, too.  I tried to ask Jaffe things sometimes, but she just said that I wouldn't understand.  I wanted to try, though.
