I get to bum around two cities - this week in Fukuoka, next week in Tokyo. I went to check out the shopping complex around Fukuoka Dome, the home of the Soft Bank Hawks. I think it was Halks. I know it wasn't eagles. There are Tombi Hawks in the sky in the area. Maybe that has something to do with it. You can identify they by their voices - piiiiiii hyoro hyoro. Sadaharu Oh, the great home run king is the Hawks' coach.
Anyway, the shopping center is equipped with Starbucks, Hagen-Daz, Toys-R-Us and an Indian Curry restaurant. What more could I ask for? Maybe I will take y'all for a walk there later today.
They had a Blythe "Dainty Biscuit" doll with pink hair at TRU. Ki ni naru... If I hadn't gone in there I wouldn't have seen it and wouldn't be thinking about it. Those collectibles are derned expensive. Well, my birthday is coming up. No, stop rationalizing extravagance. I could get a cheap seat ticket to TKO for the price of that doll. "and yet I don't know..." (quote from Stanley Holloway) Ok, I confess. The actual context of the poem is a stingy Scotsman rationalizing a cheap wedding gift for his neice, and rationalizes himself down to just sending his finest regards.
More from Stanley Holloway (1890-1982) below. Herr Compukermann had an LP record (remember those, folks?) of Mr. Holloway that provided us with many hours of black humor enjoyment. His rendition of "Sweeny Todd the Barber" is unforgettable. (Do we say black humor in English? They do in Japanese - I get mixed up sometimes between true Englisch and Japlisch.)
Stumbled on this doggy Halloween costume... If I had a dog it would be wearing this. It's lucky for the dog that I don't have a dog.

The poor thing... it's so adorable even I would put my dog in that... except I have enough sense to be a cat person.
Lucky dogs.
God bless,

Omgoodness I love the skunk costume!! Hilarious!! I would just love to see this person walk the dog around a lot of people and see their reaction!!
ryc: My son and I already named the cat...NINJA. It works. Too bad we can't agree on the other cats' name. I call it Fweety, my daughter calls him Rowdy, and my other son a name I cannot even spell and my youngest son calls him Kat. Poor thing is probably confused!
