  • Joke from daughter:  A man will spend 2000 Yen for a thing that usually sells for 1000 Yen if he really needs it.  A woman will spend 1000 Yen for a thing she doesn't need because it is half price.

    I checked that New Years "Oshogatsu"  Barbie out on eBay today.  It is a limited edition of 1500 dolls - definitely a worthy addition to my collection, but after I had seen it at Toys R Us for 9000 Yen I decided not to get it because it was too pricey.  It was selling on eBay for 17,000 yen and if I were to get it with "Buy it Now" and then add postal charges it would have cost me 20,000 Yen, so I went back to TRU and scooped up the last one they had on the shelf.  Makes perfect sense, right?

  • Congratulations on getting such a bargain.  Life is short, enjoy your doll.  You deserve it and I'm glad you were able to get it.

  • Awesome! As long as you gave God the 10% already I'm pretty sure He's said the other 90%'s pretty much up to us. ... now if only I could remember that for myself when I do the same... lol.
