Lotus Flowers - Fukuoka Castle Moat
These were taken the morning that the Yamakasa race took place. Someone had told me that lotus blossoms open early in the morning. Yamakasa was over by 6AM, and the castle moat was on my way home, so I stopped to check the floral situation out.

@SoOffBase - It is part of the flower. I actually took these pictures with a zoom because they were in a pond and I couldn't get as close as I really wanted to.
