Here is a shot from my phonecam that I took on the way to the market. At this time of year these birds (starlings?) all gather in the ginko trees on Meiji Dori Street to spend the night. There are um, quite a few of them. These birds did not stay here very long, and soon all flew off to the trees to the left of your screen. It reminds me of a line from the movie Amadeus where the Emperor Franz Joseph I think his name was made a remark about "too many notes!"

i love watching the birds. I have always wondered, do they return to the same place? we have an evening chorus here around our grocery store. Lovely. amazing how they are, so unprotected.....in storm, etc. yet, they thrive. our lessons to trust. love ya
