Throwing in the Towel
"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." ---John Piper
What is the difference between "I just don't care anymore" and "I am going to trust God with this?" Maybe it is the difference between throwing a "filthy rag" in the garbage to be burned or handing it over to a professional restorer to do with it as he wants. He is able to have it cleaned, sewn up and made good as new and for a better purpose than use as a rag. If I give it to the professional, do I worry what he is going to do with something that I was ready to throw in the garbage? Do I question him about what cleaning process he uses? Do I worry about how long he is going to take to do the job? Do I worry if he want to resew it into a different shape? Do I worry if he wants to dye it a different color? Am I meant to be a rag collector who becomes sick from hoarding stinky rags that become heavier and more rotten with each passing day? Unbelievable as it seems, the ragmeister delights in the rags we bring as things that he can remake into what he chooses. "Casting all of your cares upon Him, for He cares for you." I Peter 5:7

timely and appropriate.
@ANT_L - Well, it is better than scorching my brain and loosing sleep over things that I have no power to change. Gotta give God the pen, because He writes happier endings than I ever could.
