Todaze "go somewhere" was to the National Museum in Ueno where they were having an exhibition of treasures from Ise Shrine. For an additional 200 Yen we also took in an exhibition of traditional cobalt sometsuke dishes. I almost got out without buying anything until I saw this marvelous replica of this haniwa from the 7th century A.D. These figures are found buried in ancient burial mounds. I got the one on the right and the one on the left will probably come home with us next time.
