  • I did a naughty thing yesterday - one thing lacking in my life recently is CONTINUITY.  I just bought a lovely guitar and had my first lesson, and then had to chuck everything to head to Tokyo for a week, not that I mind being in Tokyo at all.  I am not bringing my guitar on the plane because they will make me check it as baggage and I am not about to do that, especially with a soft case.  I do want to practice very much, so I stopped in at Yamaha on the Ginza on the way home and got a guitarlele to use and leave in TKO so I can practice.  It is really cute and I like it very much and I practiced a lot today.  Yamaha had moved from where they used to be, so I had to do a bit of searching suitcase in tow.  But it was worth the trouble.  I had to pay about $20 more here than I would have had to pay in Fukuoka, but I am going to use the guitarlele in Tokyo anyway, so why not just get it here and save myself trouble.  Everything about a guitarlele is the same except for the size and the sound.  All the fingerings are the same.  My fingers are sore, on the way to getting the necessary calluses, which is another reason that I did not want a blank week with no practice.

There was a guy on the train last night with his iPod on too loud, but it was funny.  It sounded like he was listening to mosquitoes.

The C Drive on this Tokyo XP laptop is full up with I have no idea what, so I think we are going to flush it out, which may mean a couple of days offline.  Gonna give all that data the old F2!
