3/27/2010 A Walk in the 'Hood
This shrine is just up the road a bit from the Takatori Kiln. The cherry blossoms were in bloom, but the day was overcast.
Here is the outer gate.
This is the inner shrine building.
It's the Year of the Tiger, and for a slight fee you can buy a wooden plaque on which you write your wishes and hang them up on the shrine grounds for the gods to see.
The sun is trying to break through the clouds.
This was taken at a small park behind the shrine. The owners of this dog were teaching it to obey commands in Engrish, and kept yelling at their doggy to "Shitto!" on this bench for a picture. They couldn't stop yelling and I couldn't stop laughing.
