So we are back from the busy weekend, and I had another trip to the dentist and thanked him profusely for the painkillers and antibiotics that helped me to survive the funeral. He wants me on antibiotics for a couple more days before deciding whether or not to excavate.
The school check up is tomorrow, but I have not had any opportunity to do my "homework." I am supposed to submit two stool samples, but have not had the time to produce any. One of my colleagues offered to share with me, and also helpfully suggested that there was a fellow walking his dog outside who might be able to provide me with some assistance.
Saw something scary at Inadazutsumi Station. The platform is curved and there are gaps between the train and the platform and some lady thought her front stoller wheels were going onto the platform when they were not, and down went baby, stoller and all. A bunch of quick acting folks stopped the scene from turning into an accident. Whew!
And just for the record, I REALLY CAN'T STAND IT WHEN PEOPLE BRUSH THEIR TEETH IN MY FACE AND YES, I AM SHOUTING!! It just makes me gag. DH walks all over the house brushing his drooly teeth and it drives me crazy. Somebody else did it to me over the weekend with a whole mouthful of toothpaste and drool... Just go finish over the sink and then talk to me when the stringy mint milkshake has gone down the drain, ALL RIGHT!? EEEWWWWWW!! Not many things gross me out, but toothbrushing I just can't stand! I really tried to be polite this weekend when someone was holding a conversation with me as her mouth became increasingly filled with a potential eruption of foam. I just had to leave, really.
The Elac speakers are all set up, but DH is rightfully worried that an earthquake might topple "HIS PRECIOUS" (think Gollum) speakers, so he got some floor-to-ceiling poles and velcro bands to anchor them in an upright position. It doesn't really look great, but hey, it's his cacoon and I suppose he can do whatever he wants to in there, as long as I don't have to clean it up.
