Back from visiting and have to go back tomorrow for the funeral. We had just flown back into Haneda when we got a call saying that MIL was gone. We had just been to see her, and her doctor was honest and said that she could go at anytime. There was no hope of her getting better. Her mind was gone and her body was not far behind, so there was nothing to be done. That's just the way it is, mortality sucks. DH went straight back to Kagoshima, and I came home for a night to pick up some things that we would be needing. I also felt better being able to check on the plants and the birds.
