Just a Teeny one in TKO
Is nothing sacred? All I ask for is a few undisturbed moments to "take care of business..." And NHK is broadcasting tsunami warnings from that quake in South America. The tsunami waves are arriving, but they are all small. Busy, busy... But all in all it's a pretty calm day. (^-^)
Some responses from Facebook from Aunt Toot: Glad to hear that it's a pretty calm day...but your friend Mike is right about the worrying. Remember your grandpa's philosophy. Just a few weeks before he passed away the pastor asked him in Sunday School "Bill, what do you do when you're worried". He replied "I've never been in that situation". Grandma did all the worrying for him. When he would say that "the things you worry about the most never happen" her reply would be "Fine. Then I'll keep worrying about them and they'll never happen." I heard that more than once!
I remember, "I like it, you eat it." And nobody sat in THAT chair and nobody changed the channel even if he was snoring through the baseball game. Well, after all the hard work he would put in I suppose he was entitled to snore.
More from Aunt Toot: I found out later, from Mom, that he didn't always like it either! Ask your mom if she remembers watching Dad as he listened to a boxing match on the radio. It probably was a different chair, but in the same place...but he would get so excited! He'd move his arms a bit like he was in the ring, too. It's a fun memory!
