Antique Market at Ryutsu Center
So I went to the antique market at Ryutsu Center and got some more projects for myself - will I never learn? Ei Iwaki Matsumoto I did see a nice karatsuyaki shard! I took a picture of it. Also found a Temote rabbit netsuke. Hey Sonny B, I found a konohazaru type netsuke - how could I leave that behind?
Mike Wagner the drumming guy from school also managed to show up.
This rabbit is something dotter might have found hard to resist.
And here are some shards from Karatsu, but were they real and were they worth it? I didn't know so I left them there. Dotter says that all of the shards in Karatsu have been picked up already to the point where some people make fake Karatsuyaki shards.
Mike was shopping for a kimono for a friend.
And here he is drooling over some antique furniture.
And this was a really nice traditional fireman's outfit that he wanted to buy for $650. He suffered over the price as he walked around the antique fair trying to forget about it, and then went back for another look. Another look revealed another zero. The price was actually $6,500, so I just took him a picture of the thing.
