Nice Christmas Concert
Today was the annual Christmas concert. and the Wind Orchestra was there to greet the people coming in. First there were girls playing carols outside, then next in the hallway inside and then at the entrance to the auditorium. That was a new and charming touch. All of the musical groups performed - the choir, the guitar-mandolin club, hand bells and the wind orchestra, all topped off with a faculty performance and then an alumna soprano soloist. The audience got to do plenty of singing, too! It was a totally wonderful program, so I don't understand why one of the speakers had to give a politically tainted message of doom and gloom at the end. Hey, if all you can do is be a wet blanket, keep quiet and stay out of JOY'S way!
