  • A Trip to the Ginza

A retired friend from the school where I used to work was holding an art exhibition on the Ginza. Since I am not working this year, I was lucky enough to be able to pay her a visit and see her exhibit. She works in chalk, and below you can see some of her work. As always, she has a lovely smile! I was surprised at the number of foreigners on the Ginza. There were groups of people hauling large suitcases, blocking the sidewalks and squatting in the shop doorways, a couple having a heated discussion, another lovey-dovey couple stopping in the middle of the subway stairs with a selfie stick and another lady rolling her bellowed "r"s with both hands. Anyway, it was great to see my friend again!

I also stopped in at Yamano Gakki Music Shop along the way, and the staff was kind enough to let me take pictures of the merchandise. Welcome to head joint heaven!

    What a lineup!

Drooling over Nagahara flutes! Too expensive for my wallet, unless one shows up in a recycle shop. I will keep checking Treasure Factory.

Behold a glass trumpet that actually plays as a bugle because it has no valves.

    Anyone need their plumbing fixed?

There was also a lovely flower shop.

I also passed by the Bvlgari Shop where a fellow in a formal black suit was wiping the windows. Perhaps they were full of forehead prints. I just love emeralds, but somehow managed to control myself from spending my great grandchildren into debt. Yes, I will definitely keep my eyes peeled at Treasure Factory.
