We are so involved (meaninglessly distracted) with weekly TV, movies with more computer graphics than actual plot, cartoons and gaming, when do we have time for reality? As I read books written 100 years ago, why do I feel that people were so much more intelligent back then when they had to use their minds and their imaginations and not simply images fed to them from screens? Try listening to the composer Delius sometime and look at the images that he paints behind your eyes. Don't look at the screen, just take the time and listen.
