Blythe Reroot
You all recognize this as a parady from the Wizard of Oz, right? Yep, I am getting involved in another project. The world can end but I probably won't notice. What? People think they want to eat and have clean clothes to wear? I finally found out how to scalp a Blythe doll so I can reroot it. I got it cheap on eBay because the hair was chopped off in a punkisch hairdo.It is amazing what you can find on You Tube. I never would have figured out how to get that head apart myself. Ei, I hope you don't mind. I will not disturb the Gina Garan autograph on the butt.
After deciding the best material and method, I tried attaching hair from a wig three different ways and am going to end up using my traditional reroot method. The hair I was using was a bit shorter than I wanted, but duh, how about using the long hair from the top of the wig instead of the strip of short stuff from the bottom?
A week later - Here is the finished project. It could probably do with some fine tuning as to wig placement, but I don't know if the head could stand up to being taken apart again. Perhaps it is best to leave well enough alone.
