Called NHK again yesterday. A morning newscaster said that a drone had gotten Mohammed Emwazi, otherwise known as "John." Um, excuse me, but calling this fellow merely John is the same as calling The Ripper merely "Jack." That is JIHADI John. He is the guy who beheaded Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa as well as several others for no real reason, remember? I really didn't like it that NHK tried to sanitize this fellow and don't know why they thought they had to do it. Are they naively trying to bend over backwards to the tune of "Imagine" in hopes that we can just all get along?
