  • Freihofer Pictures

This was a local TV show on in the early evening that was sponsored by Freihofer's bakery. Kids used to go to Channel 6 studios on Balltown Road (correct me if I am wrong here) on their birthdays. We got to be on TV, get a yummy cake and maybe some English muffins to take home, and everyone got a squiggle. Each kid would scribble on a big piece or paper and the host, Jim Fisk, would add to it in another color to make a picture, usually of a rabbit named Freddy Freihofer. There was not time for everyone to get a live squiggle on the air, but everyone got one after the show was over, I think.

This is from a movie that was made in the Schenectady area. It had the nostalgic Freihofer horse and wagon. Freihofer's was a local bakery.

If you wanted the wagon (later truck) to stop at your house, you would put this large yellow card in the front window.

There was also a local TV show on every night with a fellow called Jim Fisk. Yourz Trooley is in the third row on the right.
