Trip to Takao-san.... NOT
What better way to spend such a beautiful day than to head out to Tokyo's closest mountain hiking course, Takao-san. It seems that a few other folks shared our sentiments though, and when we got off the train at Takao-san guchi Station, we wondered if we had not gotten turned around somehow to wind up at the other end of the line in the Shinjuku district of mid-town Tokyo. The bathroom line was at least 50 ladies long. There were so many people there I would not be surprised to hear on tonight's news that the mountain has been trampled down to a smooth plain. We had a nice lunch and came back home to try the hike another day. In the rain. Just before the New Year's holidays.
