  • Last week was practice for Fire Prevention and Emergency Practice, and this week was the actual Fire Prevention  and Emergency Practice. We had a lesson on how to use extinguishers, how to get through a smoky passage, how to put out kitchen oil fires. I was in the emergency rations group. We dished up 150 servings of dry curry, chicken rice and gomoku rice. All you have to do is mix the fixings into the dried rice, add water and let it sit in the box for an hour or so. All those who participated in the practice got to sample some, along with anyone else who wanted a package. We sure didn't want any left over!
