Jyomon Shard
We found this shard in the neighborhood and took it to the Jyomon no Mura in Tama Center for the expert to examine, and it was declared the real thing! Only about 4,000 years old! Behold the shard and other works stored in this small local museum. We have a replica of the small dogu statue that was dug up in this immediate area, the original of which is held in high esteem.
Perhaps our shard was from a pot like this one.
