  • Nihonteien, Gokoku Shrine

    Today's "go somewhere" was in the city. First we went to a Japanese garden next to the art museum and than we took a walk through a nearby shrine.

    This heron was near the lake in Ohori Park.

    Spring is in the air!  These mallards definitely had LUV on their minds as they fought over the territory.  They actually did not notice us as they ran by at close range.  One was acually trying to duck his competition by pushing him underwater, but I was not fast enough to get a picture of it.

    Next on the walking tour is the local Gokoku Shrine.
