Sakura 2009 - Cherry Blossoms in Fukuoka - Fukuoka Castle Area
Gate to Fukuoka Castle Site
Approaching the Gate
Gate Left, Watchtower Center
Where is the fellow in the foreground taking the boxes?
The setting sun turns the sky as pink as the cherry blossoms. Fukuoka Tower is visible in the distance.
Refreshment booths are available for snacks under the blossoming branches.
This is probably a company picnic dinner. It is chilly, in the 40's F.
This is where the boxes were going - the youngsters at this company are setting up for a picnic dinner. This is a classy affair with tables and chairs! These fellers are all minding their manners and are not wearing coats. I hope they didn't freeze to death. It seems rather silly to ignore the fact that they are outside in the evening and that it is COLD!!
Ohori park is next to the castle site. Behold the tulips.
Buildings reflected in the castle moat.
A different angle.
To paraphrase Grandpa, "I like it, you look at it."
Another "ILIYLAI"
This one, too.
These kiddies were trying to go down the slide in one clump. Cute.

@ANT_L - The ground looks white, but it just looks white - no snow, thank goodness.
