Fukuoka - Marine World - June 1
Today's "go somewhere" was Fukuoka's Marine World.
By boat is the quickest way, so all aboard!
Our trusty skipper for the 20 minute boat ride
We reach our destination
Here is Marine World, and there is a show going on! Let's go sea for ourselves.
Looking back at Fukuoka. You can easily see Yahoo Dome and Fukuoka Tower.
Pictures from the Panorama Tank
This is as close as I ever want to be to a shark!
The four fish were following the ray like duckings follow their mother. Hey, what's on the shark's head?
It seems to be a remora that has lost its sense of gravity and is riding upside down.
Next is the seal and porpoise show!
The boats continue to run in the background...
...coming and going.
Seal posing for the audience
Ring Toss
Balancing Balls
Hula Hooping

Higher Jumps
Here are some random fishy pictures.
Hubby liked this checkered fish best. I will have to find him a necktie with the same pattern.
Too bad this was an aquarium and not a restaurant!
This was some kind of cute deep sea sandworm.
Looks like Antonio Inoki
I think the squid tank was my favorite. These can change color at will.
Space Aliens??
This was a different kind of calamari on the hoof.
Reaching for the stars?
Octopus keeping an eye out. At least I think it's an eye.
This little porcupine fish just woke up from lying at the bottom of the tank.
Another porcupine fish
Why does this remind me of a the Empire Supermarket on State Street, in Schenectady? The lobsters there had claws, though. These are more like gigantic shrimp.
Napoleon Fish
It looks a little better from a distance.
Feeding time for the sea otters
Hey, do I smell something?
Yeah, I smelt it, too. (Never saw a seally critter wag it's tail before!)
A young'un
Why can't kids ever cooperate when you want to take their picture?
Good to the last bite!
